I’ve been asked a question on how to get to Olkhon Island from Listvyanka.

In summer time you can get from Listvyanka villgae to Olkhon Island only by water.
I translated an official timetable for summer 2011. This is timetable for regualar hydrofoil boats. After the season it’s also possible to rent a private boat, in September prices may start from 15 000 roubles a day.

In winter time it’s possible to get to Olkhon Island on ice road by car or…dog sledding (?) :-)

I wanna ask for you about the ship in baikal.
Now, I wanna ride a ship from Chivyrkuy Bay to Olkhon Island on 25th Aug. and from Olkhon Island to Severobaikalsk on 26th Aug. I could find information about time and price at your homepage but I cannot know where I can buy the ticket in that town and How I can go to Chivyrkuy Bay.
I tried to find the port place in Chivyrkuy, It was impossible.
Could you help me?

Also in their timetable said that the ship from Irkutsk to Chivurkuy Bay goes till August 24th
